Schillonie shared her thoughts with us on:
Rosemarie started aholmwood technical high schoolt Racers in October 2009. She says it has been ntastic, The coaches are great and the athletes are wonderful and we help to push each other to work hard. Her last season was great she says. She cant complain after so many ups and down. She could not do what she wanted to do because of the injuries, but she thanks God for her mily and also the Racers mily, for being able to run a Seasons Best in both the 400m and 200m.
Being a professional &8220;Being a professional takes a lot of sacrifice and committment. At times I felt like giving up and letting go, but because it is my job and I know within me that I have not reached my true potential and my optimal level in the sport, it gives me the drive to continue working.&8221;
Racers In the last two years, the club has increased the number of female athletes. They are expected to perform just as good as the male athletes who have contributed to the phenomenal growth in the club over the years. The bond between us athletes, coaches and management staff, is no different from being at home with mily and relatives. the relationship is warm and welcoming.

holmwood technical high school Holmwood Technical High School,Rosemarie has been dreaming about running sub-50 for a long time. Although this is not the same as winning a major championship, it is crossing a significant hurdle along the way to achieving her ultimate goal of winning a medal at the World Championship and the Olympics. That is why she cried after the race in London on August 6, 2011, where she ran 49.84s to place second in the 400m. It is an affirmation and a big confidence booster for this lanky Holmwood past student.

What made her decide to be a professional athlete? Rosemarie shared, The love and passion I have for the sport and I see myself going very r with the talent God has blessed me with. After I owned the 400m at the National Championship in 2008, I made that decision. I will last at this until my body gives way. I am happy about the choice to be a professional, because I have seen great things happen for me and with the help of God and the hard work, along with the Racers mily greater things is yet to come
Female Athletes &8220;I believe female athletes don&8217;t get the same recognition as the male athlete. For example, if a meet is being advertised, it is the male athletes that the spectators are encouraged to come and see. In this regard, I think it is a bit unir to us female athletes.&8221;
Competition &8220;Prior to competition we as athletes have to get ourselves prepared and the day of the competition, is when the adrenaline rush begins. However, competition is a great thing because it brings out the whole competitiveness as an individual and competitor.&8221;
In an interview after the race she said, &8220;I am so happy for the day I went to Racers. I want to thank coach Mills, coach Bert and the rest of the Racers mily. they have made my dream come to light. I could not ask for more. Without them, I could not have done it. All my hard work paid off.&8221; She also had this to say to others. &8221; I am also thanking Keholmwood technical high school Holmwood Technical High Schoolro (Kerone Robinson), he has played a big role in my life and my friends and mily.&8221;

Injury &8221; If you ask any athlete they will tell you, it is one of the most difficult experience in the life of an athlete. It sets you back and you have to be mentally and physically strong in order to recover. Hence it may cause your career to come to a sudden end.&8221;
She doesn&8217;t mind the ct that there is no room for anything but training and competition now, because she wants to do well and make her country proud.
Track and Field &8211; the good side &8220;Track and Field has made me into the young lady I have become. It exposed me to many socio-economic and cultural experiences. It helped to develop my whole attitude towards life. It also helped me to be more competitive, respectful, committed, dedicated and disciplined.

The main difficulty Rosemarie says she has is injuries. Sometimes she wonders if this is what she wants to do, because the training is so hard for a 400m runner. However, when the training is too hard she has to talk to herself saying, I hated every minute of training, and then I say, Dont quit, suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.
Track and Field &8211; the bad side &8220;Personally speaking, when you have suffered from injury and can&8217;t compete it is very hard. In addition, the critics you encounter daily as an athlete, if you are not strong, sometimes these harsh criticisms can affect your confidence.
The best thing that happened to Rosemarie she says is, When I owned the 400m at the National trials in 2008 and became the National 400m champion and represented Jamaica at the 2008 Olympic game in Beijing, China and finished 7th in the 400m and owned the Bronze in the 4 X 400m relay.
Rosemarie says she is humble, loves watching Discovery Channel and believes strongly in God. Everyone who knows Rosemarie can relate to that. She certainly discovered herself as an athlete, as she moved from the heptathlon while at Holmwood, to her Olympic finals performance in 2008. Her humility touches all who listen to her as she speaks to us after her performances.
